LUCID Vision Labs Awarded Outstanding Score in Vision Systems Design 2023 Innovators Awards Program

2023-02-01 14:08:43

Richmond, BC, Canada – May 26, 2023 - LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of industrial vision cameras, announced today that its Atlas10 camera featuring Remote DMA (RDMA) was recognized with the prestigious Platinum Award by the judges of the Vision Systems Design 2023 Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.

Lucid VSD Awards

“The Vision Systems Design team would like to congratulate LUCID Vision Labs for their outstanding score in two different camera categories in the 2023 Innovators Awards program,” says Linda Wilson, Editor in Chief. “Each year this unbiased and increasingly competitive program aims to celebrate the most innovative products and systems in machine vision. The LUCID team should be very proud.”

“We are thrilled that our Atlas10 RDMA camera has been recognized in the “Cameras – Visible” category with a Platinum Award by Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards Program this year,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President at LUCID Vision Labs. “The Atlas10 camera offers Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) for optimal 10GigE image transfer. The Atlas10 with RDMA reliably streams 1.2 GB/s of data directly to main memory, bypassing the CPU and OS. This increases throughput, lowers latency, and eliminates CPU usage, which is required for reliable multi-10GigE camera applications.

In addition, LUCID received a Silver Award for its Helios2 Wide Time-of-Flight camera in the “3D Camera” category. Helios2 Wide integrates Sony’s DepthSense™ IMX556PLR back-illuminated ToF image sensor paired with a wide-angle lens and four wide-angle 850nm VCSEL laser diodes, providing a 108° Field of View (FoV). The camera is suited for applications with a close working distance and large area of operation such as full-size palettizing.
